Unique BIB Numbers Across All Ticket Types

Ensure every participant in your event gets a globally unique BIB number, regardless of their ticket type.

Ensure every participant in your event gets a globally unique BIB number, regardless of their ticket type.

    What Is Global BIB Numbering?

By default, BIB numbers are assigned per ticket type with separate ranges. Global BIB numbering creates a single sequential pool for the entire event, so no two participants ever share a number — even across different ticket types.

    How to Enable

    1. Go to your Organizer Dashboard
    2. Click "Manage" on the event
    3. Navigate to "BIB Numbers" in the sidebar
    4. Toggle on "Unique BIBs across all ticket types"
    5. The setting is saved immediately

    How It Works

    • Every new paid registration receives the next available BIB from the event-wide counter
    • New ticket types added later automatically participate in the same pool
    • Full Reassignment pools ALL registrations and assigns sequentially from 1
    • Delivery-first priority still works — postal orders get the lowest BIBs
    • Cross-type collisions become impossible

    Example

For an event with 1,577 entries across three ticket types and 200 delivery orders:

    • BIBs 1–200: Postal delivery participants (all ticket types)
    • BIBs 201–1,577: Collection / on-site participants
    • Next purchase gets BIB 1,578 automatically

    Important Notes

    • Enabling global mode does not automatically reassign existing BIBs — use "Full Reassign All" to re-sequence
    • Turning it off reverts to per-ticket-type ranges for future assignments only
    • Individual BIB editing and the audit trail are unchanged
