The BIB Numbers tab in Manage Event provides a dedicated dashboard for monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving BIB number issues across all ticket types.

    Accessing the Dashboard

    1. Go to your Organizer Dashboard
    2. Click "Manage" on the event
    3. In the sidebar under Management, click "BIB Numbers"

    Health Overview

Four health cards show the current state of your BIB assignments:

    • Total Assigned: How many BIB numbers are in use across all ticket types
    • Duplicates: Participants sharing the same BIB within the same ticket type
    • Cross-Type Collisions: BIB numbers used across different ticket types
    • Range Overflow: Whether any BIBs exceed the configured end range

    Reassignment Preview

The ticket type table shows a live preview of what will happen if you reassign:

    • Paid Entries: How many paid registrations exist for each ticket type
    • After Reassign: The exact BIB range that will result (e.g., "1 – 1183")
    • Range Too Small warning: Shown when entries exceed the configured range
    • Reassign button label: Shows the count and resulting range (e.g., "Reassign 394 → 501–894")

    Range Sizing Guidance

Your configured BIB range must be at least as large as your paid entry count. If entries exceed the range, BIBs will overflow past the configured end number. Update the BIB range in ticket type settings before reassigning to avoid this.

    Resolution Options

    • Fix Duplicates Only: Keeps existing BIBs where possible, only reassigns duplicate entries. First-registered participant keeps their BIB.
    • Full Reassign All: Wipes and re-sequences every BIB per ticket type. Confirmation shows a before/after table per ticket type.
    • Per-Ticket-Type Reassign: Re-sequences BIBs for a single ticket type. Confirmation shows entry count, configured range, and resulting BIBs.

    Delivery-Priority BIB Assignment

When reassigning BIBs, a "Prioritise delivery orders" toggle (ON by default) assigns the lowest BIB numbers to participants who paid for postal delivery. This lets you print and ship the first batch immediately.

    • Delivery participants get the lowest BIBs in each ticket type's range, ordered by registration date
    • Collection/on-site participants get the remaining BIBs, also ordered by registration date
    • The confirmation dialog shows a breakdown: e.g., "1–200 (postal), 201–1183 (collect)"
    • Toggle OFF to revert to pure registration-date ordering
    • Available in Full Reassign, Per-Type Reassign, and the standalone Reassign All button

    Activity Log

The dashboard shows recent BIB assignment activity with the method used (manual, fix_duplicates, full_reassign, per_type_reassign) and timestamps for audit tracking.

    Important Notes

    • All resolution actions require confirmation with a preview of what will change
    • The existing BIB tools in the Participants tab continue to work alongside this dashboard
    • Individual BIB editing via the participant detail dialog is unchanged
    • Auto-assignment on registration is not affected
    • For large events (1000+ participants), participant names are fetched in batches to avoid data truncation
