No money moves in a transfer
A transfer only changes who holds the place. Nothing is charged, refunded or credited. Settle any money between yourselves.

Transfer Process
- Go to "My Tickets"
- Select the registration you want to transfer
- Click "Transfer Ticket"
- Enter the email on the recipient's verified 26.events account
- Recipient receives transfer invitation
- They accept and complete their information
- Transfer is complete - ticket moves to their account
Important Information
- Transfer deadlines vary by event (usually 1 week before)
- Some events charge a transfer fee
- Recipient must already have a verified 26.events account
- If no account is found, keep managing the ticket and use the WhatsApp prompt to ask them to create one
- Original purchaser remains responsible until accepted
- Some events don't allow transfers (check event policy)
- Name on bib will be updated to new participant

Alternative: Deferral
Eligible entries can be deferred for account credit instead of transferred:
- Your current place is released for someone else
- Credit excludes processing fees and any applicable deferral fee
- Choose and book a future event yourself using your credit
