Elevation challenges track your vertical meters climbed - perfect for simulating mountain climbs from anywhere.

    What Counts as Elevation?

    • Stair climbing (most popular method)
    • Hill running or hiking
    • Indoor stair machines (StairMaster, etc.)
    • Trail running with elevation gain
    • Any activity that gains vertical meters

    How It's Measured

    Elevation is calculated from:

    • GPS-enabled devices (watches, phones)
    • Barometric altimeters (most accurate)
    • Manual entry with conversion tables
    • Strava/Garmin automatically report elevation

    Tips for Tracking Elevation

    • Use a device with barometric altimeter for accuracy
    • For stairs: 10 steps = approximately 3 meters elevation
    • Track both ascent and descent (only ascent counts)
    • Outdoor activities usually give better GPS accuracy
    • Manual entry: 1 floor = approximately 3 meters
